Tours & Trips
Qaqortoq is an outstanding starting point for exploring South Greenland.
The Qaqortoq Tourist Office offers a number of popular tours.
No trip to Qaqortoq would be complete without visiting Hvalsey, the largest and
best-preserved ruins from the Norse period.
Regular boat tours to the ice cap are available throughout the summer. You can
actually walk up and touch the largest expanse of ice in the northern hemisphere.
The only hot springs in Greenland are located on a small island that can be visited
on a day trip from Qaqortoq. You can bathe in the 37-degree Celsius warm water
as you watch the icebergs drift in the fjord nearby.
