The reservation will be held until 18.00 (6PM) on the date of arrival unless we have been informed of for example late arrival, boat/helicopter cancellation or delay.

If the guest does not show up on the date of arrival, and there has not been given an explanation or cancellation to the hotel, we will bill the guest for one night, and the rest of the reservation will be cancelled.

We ask for all reservations to be paid on the date of departure, unless otherwise has been agreed.

Check in - The room is available from 15:00 (3 PM.

Check out - Is at 10.30 (10.30 AM.

If the guest has not checked out before 10.30, we reserve the right to charge an extra night on the bill.

If the room is booked for another guest the same day, and the guest is not at the hotel, our housekeeping will pack the guest's belongings and hand it over to the reception, who will then charge an extra fee of 250 DKK.

Late check out can be arranged for a fee of 100 DKK per agreed hour unless the room is booked for another guest the same day.

 
Standard group booking & conference group bookings
A booking of 8 rooms or more will be considered as a group booking, and a minimum number of rooms must be confirmed at least 30 days prior to arrival. If the whole group or individual rooms gets cancelled less than 30 days prior, there is a cancellation fee
of 100% the total invoice.

Travel agencies
Hotel Qaqortoq gladly cooperates with travel agencies. However, we pay no commissions because we assume that the travel agencies have already collected sufficient fees directly from their customers for services rendered.

Payment
From January 1, 2026, Hotel Qaqortoq only sends invoices to travel agencies. All business travellers are requested to bring a company card or other form of payment. All rooms must be paid upon arrival unless otherwise agreed with the hotel manager.

Tourist accommodation tax
A tourist accommodation tax was introduced on January 1, 2026. Accordingly, all non-residents of Greenland are charged a fee of DKK 30 per person per night, to be paid directly at the reception.
